When not in schools Murray is hired by English Heritage to guide schools around Wroxeter Roman city in Shropshire or he can be found entertaining visitors on Hadrian’s Wall and other large English Heritage events. When ever time allows he can also be found turning out with the Roman Military Research Society or The Hoplite Association.
