again in 2008, last year both children, parents and staff had a
very enjoyable time, and we will be doing it again this summer. |
| The Idea of the Play Scheme
is to give children a hands on experience of History from Saxon, Viking, Medieval,
Tudor and English Civil War periods. Plus, Art, Drama and Science, all mixed
in with games and sports. The emphasis is on fun after all it is the school holidays, but what they learn will certainly help them in school. These periods are key topic areas for the national curriculum. The scheme will run for three weeks, with each week will have a different theme. Children can attend the play scheme from a day to all four weeks, and extra days can be added during the event, but be warned there are limited number of spaces each day, and we operate the bookings on a first come basis. How ever many days you and your child(ren) decide they want to attend we are sure they will enjoy it just as much. |

| The play scheme runs
Monday to Friday for 3 weeks in August Play scheme staff are present from 8:30 am till 5:00 pm to look after your child if you are working or otherwise engaged. (An extra charge is made for this service) COSTS per day
10:00am till 3:30pm £13.00 per day* *We require payment to be made each day or in advance,
when you book one or more days we ask you to include one days payment
per child as a deposit, this will act as payment for the first day your
child/children attend the play scheme. The play scheme is open to children aged between 8 and 12 years old PLEASE NOTE SPACE IS LIMITED PLEASE BOOK EARLY Maximum 30 children per day, All adult leaders either work for Longship or have previous experience of working with children and are strictly vetted and have a CRB Certificate. Lunch is between 12:00-1:00 pm each day, and your child/children will require a packed lunch. Please make sure you pack a waterproof coat and spare clothing and a towel for the water days and those where rain is forcast, as the children may get wet (our mayhem & water days are very popular ) also please ensure all items of clothing lunch boxes and anything else brought to the play scheme is clearly labeled with the child's name.
